Neither lack of power or water can keep the IBT from their appointed tasks. Fortunately campers come equipped for any emergency.
Look for an update on the motions before the IBT in tomorrow’s email.
If you are arriving at the rally in the next few days use, here’s the status.
It’s NOT raining! In fact, we had a beautiful sunset and the entertainer tonight was very funny, which everyone appreciated. The power is back on and so is the water. There is still substantial flooding in the area, but the rally site is drying out. The ground is soggy but there have been no parking issues today, so come on in! The weather is fine.
The advised route to Lewisburg, as of Friday AM:
Use I-64 Exit 169, towards Lewisburg Do NOT use 219 south of Lewisburg. US 60 EB is washed out in places. Do check wv511.org for road conditions when planning your route. Conditions are improving, but be cautious.
If you have announcements you’d like included on this website or sent to all Lewisburg attendees in the daily email, send the information to rallyupdates@wbcci.net

Even though the power is back on at Lewisburg, here are some useful tips, just in case:
Tips for Stretching Your Battery Power — submitted by Harold Higgins
- Shut off all none essential power consumers, such as lights. Use a flashlight if you need light briefly in the night.
- Don’t open your refrigerator anymore than necessary. Even if you are on propane the fridge still uses a small amount of electrical power.
- Shut your hot water heater off. It also uses a small amount of electric while on propane.
- Minimize water pump usage. Don’t flush anymore than necessary. The water pump runs on battery power.
- Charge your cell phone in your tow vehicle.
- You should have a battery-powered NOAA radio so you won’t need to use the radio installed in your trailer.
