Airstreamers  Know How to Help

Yesterday at 3 p.m. Lori Plummer received a message that a truckload of supplies for the Lewisburg flood victims was arriving at the fairgrounds at 3:30 and help was needed to unload the truck.  (Many of the fairground workers are still working at their own flood-ravaged homes.) A text alert was sent out for volunteers and, well, you can probably guess the rest.

AN ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION SESSION has been added for Tuesday morning from 9-10 a.m..

NEW “MEMBERSHIP SEMINAR” ADDED TO CALENDAR July 2 at 1pm in the   WV Auditorium.  Led by 2016-17 International Membership Chairperson Teresa Taylor.

TODAY’S “TECH TIP”  from the Electronic Communications Committee to make your “adventures” with technology more enjoyable and productive is:  Using BCC      If you don’t know what BCC is you really should, and every group you email will thank you.

The TECHNOLOGY HELP DESK in the Friendship Center in the Underwood Building will be open for business Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m.  Here’s our first satisfied client with Gordon White.

 

 

SCHEDULED EVENTS:

The WBCCI Amateur Radio Club will hold its annual dinner meeting at the International Rally on Saturday, July 2nd at 4:30 PM in the WV State Fair Cafeteria. Tickets ($12 each) may be purchased in the Underwood (west)  Tent.

Region 1 Appetizer and Wine Social: Thursday, June 30 3:30 – 5:30 PM at the Farm to Food Pavilion (Bldg #10). All region one attendees are invited to join us for appetizers and wine (or soft drinks).  Come celebrate, and connect with fellow members.  Bring wine glass and comfortable chair.  Hosted by the Cape Cod Unit

Yoga: 9:00-10:00 AM Thursday, June 30 and  Friday, July 1
at the Underwood Center.  Bring your mat or a towel.
Corporate Manager Lori Plummer’s “Treasurers and Membership” Seminar was almost standing-room-only.   With her were Office Staff members Julie Rethman and her daughter Megan.  It was great to put a face with familiar voices.
